A Swiss company established in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard that specializes in watches, jewelry and accessories released the world's most expensive watch, the $25 million 201-carat Chopard. It worth 25 million US dollars which makes it as one of the most expensive watches ever sold. Its name suggests, “supercomplication”, it is the most complicated watch ever as it has 24 complications. Patek Philippe made the expensive watch using 18 carat gold for an American banker Henry Graves. A one of its kind gold coach watch that was auctioned off at Sotheby’s on December 1999 for a whopping sum of $11 million. It is the most expensive timepiece ever sold and this world record has stood the test of time till now.

The Platinum World Time created by Patek Philippe was sold at auction for over $4 million USD in 2002. The watch had an original reserve price of only $600,000, meaning the winning bid was five times over the expected price. The watch is shaped like a tonneau. It has movement from 1895 and case from 1927. The watch comes from the collection of Henry Graves, Jr., which is why it bears the coat of arms of the Graves family. Graves is also the man who used to own the Patek Philippe Super Complication clock watch.


7- Patek Philippe 1953 Heures Universal’s Model 2523- Price $2.9 Million


The Patek Philippe 1953 Heures Unverselles Model 2523 has a case made of yellow gold that weighs 18 karats. The meticulously designed wristwatch has a polychrome and an enamel dial that represents the map of the North American continent. Matte silver revolving ring dial bearing the names of 41 places in the world, at the center, guilloche gold with applied yellow gold baton and roman indexes, concentric, revolving 24-hour dial for the nocturnal and diurnal hours. The winding-crown on the 3 adjusts the hours and the 24-hour ring; the winding-crown on the 9 turns the ring with the city names.


8- Vacheron Constatin Tour de I’ll- Price $1.5 Million


Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin marked its 250th anniversary in 2005 with the world’s most complicated wrist watch the Tour de l’Ile. The watch is so complicated that it required over 10,000 hours of research to create. Its name refers to one of the historical sites of the venerable company, located next to the current Maison Vacheron Constantin on the Quai de l’Ile.  The Tour de I'lle is a complicated wrist watch manufactured by the Swiss manufacturer Vacheron Constantin. It was released in 2005 in a limited edition of 7 pieces to commemorate the manufacturer's 250th anniversary. The Tour de I'lle was marketed by Vacheron Constantin as the most complicated continually produced wristwatch with 16 complications and 834 individual parts.


9- Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon-Price: $1.3 Million


This incredibly complicated watch has the night sky on one side that has precision that is all of its own. The front is also complex with date and the moon phases. This is an amazing watch and a piece of modern art. We just finished dinner here in Geneva, where Patek Philippe revealed its latest and greatest (seriously, it's a new take on Patek's most complicated wristwatch ever).  Tonight, in the private salon above Patek's downtown Geneva boutique, we were shown the Sky Moon Tourbillion Reference 6002.  While the technical differences between this Sky Moon and the original (reference 5002) are not extensive, they are there, and where this new reference shines is in its case and dial work.
